Fibre Cement and Asbestos Cement Roofs
Suitable fibre cement roofs may be considered for refurbishment rather than immediate replacement.
Older fibre cement roofing may contain asbestos. Before any coating is considered, a qualified asbestos professional must assess the roof, and the coating manufacturer must confirm the system’s suitability. Encapsulation leaves asbestos in place and requires ongoing inspection and management.
We offer an ideal solution for all types of roofs, including those made with fiber cement panels, as our material allows for effective encapsulation, eliminating the need to replace them with existing materials and thus avoiding significant cost increases. Our system consists of encapsulating the surface by applying a 2kg/m² layer of Cork Spray, which completely covers the material, preventing deterioration, erosion, and exposure to risks associated with asbestos.
